« To blow up a wooden barrel... »

The idea behind « Lightning burst » was born from a conversation with my three boys, the first fans of my photographs. Together, we imagined photographing the explosion of a barrel of wine, with a rainbow of colours.

A big challenge, because no image illustrates such an explosion. Although the image is clear in our heads, it was impossible to find it before the painting was created, the transition from dream to reality being a real creative challenge.

To give life to this concept, I took the photograph backwards, playing on gravity, and used balloons filled with paint flashing simultaneously to achieve the desired effect.

This table, the last of the series « Coloured Shadow », is dedicated to Vincent, Jules and Benoît, which inspired each stage of this project.
