The Floral Flight

A feat...

This painting required more time than expected: almost 15 days at the workshop and a week in a photo studio. To date, he holds the record time devoted to the creation of a painting (before « Renaissance »).

The idea of starting was to highlight gears, which I find both elegant and mysterious. But, as always, simply representing workings was not enough for me. It was necessary to add color and above all suggest movement.

Thus, the five roses are connected to a system allowing them to rotate from below. I confess that it required many unsuccessful trials... After each take, a complete cleaning, a new coat of paint and a wait for drying explained the 5 days spent in studio. But in the end, what a satisfaction!
